Are self build cars road legal in the USA?

Yes, all States have laws that allow for self build cars. Check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

How difficult is it to build an car?

With basic tools and 200 hours your can complete a standard Car.

Do I need a donor car?

  The V-Storm needs no donor.

 Which engine should I use in the V-Storm?

The Standard engine packages are Subaru Impreza 1993- 2000 280hp STI or Motorcycle: Aprillia Mille 143 BHP or ZX10 175 hp.

How is the body finished?

The body incorporates a colored gel coat finish, which does not require painting.  All the flash lines are buffed out.  Ready to Drive.  

Why gel coat?

Gel coat is thicker than any paint finish and is resistant to stone chips. It also saves build time and money.

Are there any drawbacks with gel coat?

Only solid colors can be successfully applied. Gel coat might fade over a period of time in strong sunlight.

How much room is there in the cockpit for tall drivers?

All Cars fit up to 6'-4".  "Big guys" need to buy an appropiate seat.

When do I get my build manual?

Couple days after the deposit.

Do I have to purchase everything at once?

It is highly recommended , because of shipping. The kit come from the UK.

What is the usual procedure for ordering a cars?

Contact the us by e-mail, or phone to discuss the specification for your kit.  Fill out the order form with all options and special instructions.
Once we have received the order form , a 50% deposit that we will require to confirm your order.
Within twelve weeks of receiving your order your kit will be ready to ship and the balance will be required.  Your kit is then sea or air shipped in a plywood crate to your nearest sea or airport.

The rollbar for the V-Storm  is welded.

 Do I need any specialist tools?

A kit can be built using a very modest tool kit but can be made easier if a right angle drill is employed.  Apart from the cost of a drill, all the tools required to build could be purchased for a budget of under $300.

Does our Company build turnkey cars?

No, but we have relationships with some talented people.

What is the ride quality?

The cars have adjustable suspension and the ride quality can easily be selected by changing the damper settings.

These have been designed as road cars  therefore clearing most speed-humps and other obstructions was needed.

What sort of mileage can I expect?

30+ mph

Can these cars be driven on a daily basis?
